YBhg Tan Sri Dato' (Dr) Abdul Rahim Abdul Rahman is the Executive Chairman of Rahim & Co International Sdn Bhd. Prior to establishing Rahim & Co in 1976, he served as a Valuation Officer with the London Borough of Hounslow, a Valuation Officer with the Valuation Division of the Ministry of Finance, the Properties Manager of Malayan Railways and the Properties Manager of Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad.
In his professional capacity, Tan Sri has served as a member of the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers, Malaysia. He has been Past Presidents of The Royal Institution of Surveyors, Malaysia (1986 – 1987), The International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) Malaysian Chapter (1982 – 1986), The Asia Pacific Real Estate Federation (1985 – 1988) and The Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents and Property Consultants in the Private Sector Malaysia (PEPS) (1990 – 1994).
Tan Sri was elected the Deputy World President of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) in 1990 for a 2-year term. Tan Sri Rahim was awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) that carries the title Tan Sri from His Majesty the King of Malaysia in 2014. He was also appointed as a Senator by His Majesty the King from 2010 – 2016.
Sr Mohamad Alhafiz Bin Farouk is a Director of Valuation Services at Rahim & Co International Sdn Bhd head office. He has a Diploma in Valuation and a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Property Management from The University Technology of Malaysia (UTM). He joined Rahim & Co in 2010 as a valuation executive. He then joined the internal valuation unit of Maybank Group. Upon returning to Rahim & Co, he headed the Klang branch before joining the head office as a senior manager and transitioning to his current role as Director of Valuation Services. He is a registered valuer with The Board of Valuers, Appraisers, and Estate Agents Malaysia and a member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM). He is also a member of The Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents and Property Consultants in the Private Sector, Malaysia (PEPS).
Sr Chee Kok Thim is the Director of Valuation Services of Rahim & Co International Sdn Bhd. Prior to joining Rahim & Co in July 1997, Sr Chee had served more than 21 years with the Valuation and Property Services Department in the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia.
At the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia, Sr Chee has served as a Committee Member of the Property Surveying Division, the Examination Secretary of the Examination & Accreditation Board, a Council Member of the Royal Institution and the Chairman of the Examination Board for more than 10 years. At the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers Malaysia, Sr Chee is currently an examiner for the Board's Test of Professional Competence and was a member of the Accreditation Committee. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia, a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (UK), a Member of The Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents and Property Consultants in the Private Sector, Malaysia (PEPS) and the Malaysian Institute of Professional Property Managers.
Sr Mahadzir is the Director of Rahim & Co International Sdn Bhd based in Alor Setar. Sr. Mahadzir completed his Degree of Bachelor of Business (Property) at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia in 1997. He is a registered valuer and estate agent with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers, Malaysia. He has over 20 years work experience in the property and real estate industry which includes valuation, property management, research & consultancy and Estate Agency.
Prior to joining Rahim & Co in 2004, Sr Mahadzir was working at Jurunilai Bersekutu and Raine & Horne International Zaki & Partners. He has also worked in our Sungai Petani office, Ipoh office and Kuala Lumpur head office. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM).
Encik Iqbal is currently the Head of Real Estate Investment Management of PNB, which is the strategic unit of Real Estate division of PNB. Being under PNB's scholarship programme, Iqbal started working with PNB in August 2007 soon after he graduated and served in the Corporate Services Department and Private Equity before joining the Real Estate division in 2017. Throughout his career, Iqbal has build up knowledge and capabilities in corporate finance, project financing, investment analysis & valuation and real estate investment. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. He also has a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from Australia's Kaplan Professional.
Currently the Chief Strategy Officer, Abbas is primarily responsible for the broad strategic planning for PNB, as well as coordinating and monitoring all initiatives under PNB’s long term Strategic Plan. He currently leads three key departments under the Strategy Division, namely Corporate Strategy, Strategic Asset Allocation and Transformation. His latest achievement was to spearhead the development of PNB’s new strategic plan, codenamed FOCUS-4, with the ultimate aim of delivering long term sustainable returns to more than 14 million unit holders.
In his current capacity, Abbas also sits in the various Management Committees which includes the Leadership Committee, Management Investment Committee and Unit Trust Steering Committee.
Prior to his current position, Abbas has served various departments within PNB since joining in 2006. He started as a Real Estate analyst and subsequently joined Research Division as a MacroEconomy analyst. In 2011, Abbas was brought into the Office of President & Chief Executive Officer, taking lead roles in the areas of corporate and strategic planning, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and investment analysis. Abbas graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics from the University of Nottingham, under PNB’s scholarship programme.
